Hrishikesh Sharma, Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering and research scholar Sanchit Saxena from IIT Guwahati have in developed a method to make cement mortar stronger, more durable, and resistant to harmful radiation in collaboration with Suman Kumar from the Heritage and Special Structures Department at the CSIR-Central Building Research Institute, Roorkee. The study was published in Materials and Structures.

A report by Coursera, One Year Later: The Gender Gap in GenAI, found that women in India complete GenAI courses at 3% higher rates than men despite lower enrolment, highlighting strong persistence and the need for more inclusive AI education.

IIT Madras won the Gold Award. Biplab Patra from the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, won the Platinum Award at the seventh edition of the KPIT Shodh Awards and  Komal Jaiswal from IISc Bangalore won the Gold Award.

Team Nexus AI from Sona College of Technology, Salem, led by Tharanika K., won the Gold Cup at the sixth edition of the Mitsubishi Electric Cup teams, which invited participants to design fully functional automation solutions using Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation technologies. The team will represent India at the Global Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation (MECA) Competition in Japan in September 2026.

Mangalam College of Engineering, Ettumanoor, came first in the Kochi City finale of NICMAR’s Bharat Nav-Nirmaan Challenge. Carmel College of Engineering and Technology, Alappuzha, was second and Eranad Knowledge Technical Campus, Malappuram, was third.

Shambhavi Das, a Class 11 Anveshana 2025 student researcher from Prayoga Institute of Education Research, won the Best STEM Presentation Award at the International Young Researchers’ Conference 2025, hosted by Columbia University.
