The Delhi High Court has issued notice to the Delhi police and the Delhi government on a petition highlighting lack of mandatory CCTV cameras in police stations and investigation offices in the Capital. A Bench of Justice Navin Chawla and Justice Shail Jain passed the order on March 9 on the plea alleging illegal detention and interrogation of the petitioner, Ajay, in the absence of CCTV cameras. The court has listed the matter for hearing on April 30.
