Take precautionary measures to beat summer heat: Madurai Collector

In view of the rising temperatures in the district, Madurai District Collector K.J. Praveen Kumar has asked the public to take precautionary measures to protect themselves from the scorching summer heat.

In a press release, the Collector asked the public to take precautionary measures to protect themselves from the summer heat. To avoid dehydration, he urged the public to drink plenty of water, take oral rehydration solutions (ORS) and healthy drinks that can be prepared at home such as buttermilk, lemon juice, fruit juice and fermented rice and eat seasonal fruits, vegetables, and home cooked food. He asked people to avoid soft drinks.
