A grand procession of Siddappajja will be taken out at Unkal in Hubballi on Saturday as part of the ongoing Ugadi Jatra Mahotsava which will conclude on Ugadi that falls on March 19. Addressing presspersons in Hubballi on Thursday, president of the mutt committee and municipal councillor Rajanna Koravi said that on Saturday, the stone idol of Siddappajja, carved from a special stone brought from Vietnam, will be taken out in a procession from Siddaroodh Mutt to Unkal. The procession will feature elephants, horses, camels and tractors along with various cultural troupes, he said. Mr. Koravi added that the new temple will be inaugurated by Sri Veerasomeshwara Swami of Rambhapuri Peetha on Monday.
