A youth was killed in a road accident at Kaniyapuram near Kazhakoottam on Thursday after his motorcycle collided with a lorry. The deceased has been identified as Afran, a native of Pallinada near Kaniyapuram. The accident occurred at around 1:45 pm at Masthanmukku. Police said Afran’s motorcycle hit the cement-laden lorry causing the bike to get trapped under the vehicle. The rear wheels of the lorry reportedly ran over the man’s head leading to his death. Afran’s body was later shifted to the Thiruvananthapuram Government Medical College Hospital. Police have registered a case.
