A large number of people reached the venue of lottery for allotment of LIG flats in Gachibowli on Tuesday (January 6, 2026) | Photo Credit: K SHIVA SHANKER The lottery for allotment of Telangana Housing Board’s flats in Gachibowli for Lower Income Groups ( LIG) may begin at 3 p.m. on Tuesday ( January 6, 2025). A total of 2,685 applications were received for the 111 flats in the locality. It was learnt that verification of the applications took time, which led to the delay. The Board on Monday appealed to people not to visit the venue of lottery owing to space constraints and security reasons. However, considerable number of people have come to the venue in Gachibowli. Though they were asked to return after lunch, they stayed put and discussed how the process would be held. An e-link for live streaming on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/live/gCBIRWz8qt0) was provided. People waited from morning for the lottery and asked when would the process begin.
