The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested a senior accountant working at the Sub-Treasury Office (STO) in Mothkur of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district for demanding and accepting a bribe to process a salary bill. According to ACB, the accused official, identified as Md. Khadeer, initially demanded ₹10,000 from a complainant to process his 38 days’ salary bill amounting to ₹1,09,384 for the period between February 7 and March 15, 2024. The amount was later settled at ₹5,000.
