AP-Genco records highest-ever generation on March 11, says Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar

Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar has said that the AP-Genco achieved the highest-ever single day’s generation of 6,101 Megawatts on March 11.

“The record generation has been made possible by the guidance of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, along with the dedication, expertise, and hard work done by the engineers and officials,” he said in a press release.

Mr. Ravi Kumar mentioned that high-level power generation was the government’s priority as the requirement grows during the summer season. “Providing uninterrupted power supply to the domestic, industrial, and commercial sectors has been the goal,” he said, adding that efforts were being made to reduce the dependence on power purchases from external sources.
