Amazon noted that Alexa+ was launched around nine months ago and that it had been integrated with tens of thousands of services and devices, while counting tens of millions of customers. Amazon’s move to bring Alexa+ to browsers and the web will enable more users to explore the e-commerce giant’s AI offerings outside of smart home and Amazon shopping scenarios. The company also highlighted its redesigned Alexa mobile app that will feature what it calls an “agent-forward design.” “It can help you complete countless tasks: managing your to-do list, updating your family calendar, controlling your smart home, making reservations, and so much more. It also provides persistent context and continuity, allowing you to access Alexa on whichever device or interface best serves the task at hand, with all previous chats, preferences, and personalization seamlessly carrying over,” said Amazon in a blog post. Customers who have early access privileges for Alexa+ can visit alexa.com while they are logged into their Amazon account.
