A still from ‘They Will Kill You’ | Photo Credit: Warner Bros Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for They Will Kill You, a gory horror-comedy starring Zazie Beetz as a hotel employee who fights back after becoming the target of a satanic cult. Directed by Kirill Sokolov, the film follows Beetz as a newly hired housekeeper at the Virgil, a seemingly upscale New York City hotel that conceals a far darker purpose. As the trailer reveals, the building operates as the headquarters of a cult that carries out ritual sacrifices, with Beetz’s character selected as its latest victim. The footage quickly establishes the stakes when she is warned that the hotel serves as “a temple to Satan” and that a human sacrifice is required each month. Rather than fleeing, the trailer shows Beetz responding with escalating violence, dispatching cult members in increasingly graphic fashion. The cast includes Myha’la, Paterson Joseph, Tom Felton, Heather Graham and Patricia Arquette. Felton and Arquette joined the project in 2024, with their roles kept under wraps. Sokolov co-wrote the screenplay with Alex Litvak. The film is produced by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti and Dan Kagan through New Line Cinema and Nocturna, with Litvak and Sokolov also serving as executive producers alongside Russell Ackerman, John Schoenfelder and Carl Hampe. Beetz currently appears in The Dutchman alongside André Holland and Kate Mara, which recently opened in U.S theaters. She is also set to appear in Gore Verbinski’s upcoming feature Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die. They Will Kill You is scheduled to release in theaters on March 27.
