As part of the security measures ahead of the upcoming Assembly election, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) has seized cash unaccounted-for totalling ₹80 lakh from a passenger at the Chennai Central Railway Station on Wednesday. The individual, identified as 47-year-old Radha Krishnan Kesavan of Salem, was intercepted upon the arrival of an express train from Coimbatore at Platform No. 11. Since the individual did not produce valid documents, the RPF detained him and handed over the seized amount to Income Tax officials for further legal action.
