A Delhi court on Wednesday granted interim bail to a couple accused of using racial slurs against their neighbours from Arunachal Pradesh during an altercation last month in south Delhi. Additional Sessions Judge Samar Vishal of the Saket Courts said Ruby Jain and Harsh Priya Singh will remain on interim bail until April 13. “The accused persons have remained in custody for about 15 days. Their statements have already been recorded and the principal incident stands captured in a video recording. Despite the reprehensible nature of the conduct attributed to them, I am of the view that no useful purpose would be served by their continued incarceration at this stage,” the court said.
