The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), Overseas Manpower Company Andhra Pradesh Limited (OMCAP) and Apollo MedSkills Limited (AMSL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create overseas employment opportunities for youth from Andhra Pradesh, particularly in the healthcare and allied sectors. APSSDC Executive Director D. Manohar in a press release said that under the partnership, the Corporation will facilitate candidate mobilisation, data management and coordination of training activities, while OMCAP will serve as the nodal agency for overseas recruitment in compliance with the Emigration Act, 1983. Apollo MedSkills Limited will act as the academic and training partner, delivering specialised programmes aligned with international healthcare standards and supporting overseas placements for qualified candidates. The initiative aims to train and facilitate overseas placements for 500 candidates in the first phase, with the potential to expand to 1,000 candidates during the first year, said Mr. Manohar, adding that the APSSDC may extend financial support of up to ₹15,000 per candidate towards training costs, as per approved norms. Managing Director and CEO of APSSDC, G. Ganesh Kumar, said the collaboration reflects the State’s commitment in preparing youth for global employment opportunities through internationally aligned training and structured overseas placement pathways. “By partnering with Apollo MedSkills, we aim to create opportunities for skilled youth from Andhra Pradesh to access rewarding careers in the global healthcare sector,” he added.
