As SSLC Board Examinations began in Ramanathapuram on Wednesday, a total of 17,342 students took the language examination. A total of 17,342 students comprising 8,183 boys and 8,588 girls from 261 schools, along with 571 private candidates, appeared for the exams in 85 centres in the district. For the language paper, 276 students were abesent. To monitor the examination, 85 headmasters served as chief superintendents under the Chief Educational Officer. Additionally, 85 teachers served as departmental and additional departmental officers, while 1,033 teachers were on duty as hall supervisors.
