The SSLC board examinations began in Erode district on Wednesday (March 11, 2026), with 25,279 candidates from 353 schools appearing for the examination at 118 centres. This includes 24,423 regular students and 856 private candidates. Of these, 706 students, including 683 students with disabilities and 23 private candidates, are writing the examinations with special concessions. A total of 118 chief superintendents, 124 departmental officers, over 180 flying squad officials, and more than 1,700 invigilators have been deployed for the smooth conduct of examinations.
