A total of 208 people were arrested during a Statewide crackdown by the Telangana police targeting mule bank account networks allegedly used to facilitate cyber frauds across India. The enforcement drive, titled “Operation Crackdown 1.0”, was launched on February 25 and was led by the Telangana State Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB). The operation aimed to identify and dismantle networks that allowed cybercriminals to route fraudulent transactions through bank accounts opened in Telangana.
