A section of Congress members staged a demonstration here on Tuesday condemning the Centre for the hike in prices of petrol and diesel. The demonstration organised by the Tiruchi Urban District Mahila Congress on the East Bouleward Road was led by Mahila Congress district president Anju. Police sources said about 25 members participated in the demonstration. The demonstrators placed a couple of cooking gas cylinders in front of them and raised slogans against the Centre during the stir.
