An Iranian missile flies toward Israel, amid the U.S.-Israel conflict with Iran, as seen from Jerusalem, on March 11, 2026

Saudi Arabia said on Wednesday (March 11, 2026) it had intercepted seven ballistic missiles in separate attacks targeting an air base and its eastern region, as Iran renewed fire on its Gulf neighbours.

Israel staged new attacks on Beirut’s southern suburbs on Wednesday, Lebanese state media reported, with the Israeli army saying it was again targeting the Iran-backed Hezbollah group.

Lebanon was drawn into the Middle East war last week when Hezbollah attacked Israel in response to the killing of Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in US-Israeli strikes.

Earlier, the U.S. military said it took out multiple Iranian vessels on Tuesday (March 10) as the Islamic Republic vowed to block the region’s oil exports and concerns grew about the country’s threats to stop tankers from using a waterway through which 20 per cent of the world’s oil is shipped.
