Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh flagging off 48 tipper trucks on Tuesday. | Photo Credit: PTI Delhi Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh on Tuesday flagged off 48 new tipper trucks at the headquarters of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to strengthen the collection and transportation of horticulture waste across the Capital. The Horticulture Department’s total fleet dedicated to collecting green waste has now increased to 74, Mr. Singh said. The trucks, powered by compressed natural gas (CNG), will be deployed for collecting horticulture waste from municipal parks and gardens and transporting it to designated green waste centres.
