Srisailam temple executive officer M. Srinivasa Rao asked officials to make foolproof arrangements for the upcoming ‘Ugadi Mahotsavams’.

Mr. Srinivasa Rao reviewed the arrangements to be made for the large number of devotees visiting the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple during the Mahotsavams, which will begin from March 16. As devotees in large numbers from Karnataka will be arriving at the temple town well ahead of the Ugadi festival day, Mr. Srinviasa Rao asked officials to be ready and vigilant.

During the Mahotsavams, devotees will be allowed only ‘alankara darshan’ after March 16. Till March 15, ‘sparsha darshan’ will be allowed in four time slots, he said. He asked officials manning the queue lines and temple wing to coordinate and provide both sparsha darshan and alankara darshan as per fixed slots. Mr. Srinivasa Rao directed officials to provide drinking water and snacks to the devotees waiting in the queue lines and also ensure that the fans and coolers are in working condition.

Mr. Srinivasa Rao instructed the vigilance and security wing officials to coordinate with the local police in maintaining the queue lines. He noted that devotees coming on foot through Venkatapuram, Nagaluti, Damerakuntla, Peddacheruvu, Matambaavi, Bheemuni Koluvu and Kailasa Dwaram had started arriving to the temple town. He asked the officials to coordinate with the Forest Department officials in making arrangements, particularly drinking water, for the devotees.

The EO asked officials to provide support to the philanthropists and donors who want to serve food to the devotees coming by foot through the forest route.
