Chennai Metro Rail has awarded the contract to build grade separators at Perungudi and SRP Tools Junctions here on Monday. The contract has been given to M. Rajkumar at ₹113.80 crore and the two grade separators will be completed in 18 months. Since Chennai Metro Rail has been carrying out elevated construction work for phase II project on OMR, as part of it, they have also been entrusted with building these grade separators by the State Highways Department.
