A report released by the Bengaluru Navanirmana Party (BNP) has challenged the belief that garbage blackspots in Bengaluru are mainly caused by a lack of waste collection, stating that the problem is linked to gaps in coordination and limited citizen participation. The report, based on BNP’s ‘Follow the Garbage’ campaign, points out that while waste collection takes place in many areas, the system does not always match the day-to-day realities of residents.
