Selvapandi has accepted the final report filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the case of alleged theft of jewellery, which was linked to the custodial death case of temple security guard B. Ajith Kumar in Sivaganga district. The Chief Judicial Magistrate perused the records and the CBI’s final report, which it had filed earlier. The report stated that the jewellery remained untraced, and despite an investigation no clues were uncovered nor had the probe pointed towards any person who might have committed the alleged theft. The court then accepted the final report filed by the Central agency.
