ARIF As part of Agricultural Experiential Learning Programme (AELP), four final year students of College of Agricultural Engineering in Kandi who cultivated vegetables, sold the produce at the Sangaredy District Collectorate. They were given a budget of ₹10,000 to cultivate and sell the vegetables, including expenses for buying seeds, manure and other resources. This was done to give them hands-on experience in understanding the cycle of cultivating crops, finance management and agriculture marketing. Mudassir,Vinay Kumar,Victoriya Rani and Asmitha Rathod, began with sowing seeds at the college’s agriculture field a month ago, managing the growth and attending to the issues with guidance of workers there, harvesting the produce and selling. College associate dean R. Swamy said the aim is to aid students in understanding what it takes to sell an agriculture product in the market. As part of the AELP, students also have to prepare detailed project reports and carry out SWOT analysis, he added.
