MOORTHY ‘Illam Thedi Kalvi’ (ITK) volunteers en masse arrived at District Collectorate here on Monday demanding priority in government recruitment and job placements commensurate with their academic qualifications. Commending the Tamil Nadu government for bringing such a programme immediately after COVID shut down to bridge the educational gap of the government school students, they said, the volunteers who willingly enrolled themselves for just ₹1,000 honorarium prioritised service over profit.
