AUT-MUTA condemns exclusion of govt-aided college students in Chief Minister’s Research Grant

The Association of University Teachers (AUT) and the Madurai Kamaraj, Manonmaniam Sundaranar, Mother Teresa, and Alagappa University Teachers’ Association (MUTA) have jointly issued a statement condemning the move of Tamil Nadu Higher Education Department in excluding the government-aided college students from benefiting the Chief Minister’s Research Grant (CMRG).

In a statement, they expressed concern that discrimination, exclusion and a sense of disparity among students in Tamil Nadu’s higher education sector have been steadily increasing over the past four years.
