Minister for Adi Dravidar Welfare M. Mathiventhan laid the foundation for new scheme works and inaugurated completed projects worth ₹10.48 crore in Namakkal on Monday (March 9, 2026). In the functions held at Namagiripet and Paramathi, the Minister laid foundation for the new projects, including strengthening roads worth ₹60 lakh at Moolakurichi, an overhead water tank worth ₹18 lakh at Nethaji Nagar, a banana research centre at the cost of ₹14 lakh in Moolakurichi, road-laying works at Unanthangal panchyat (₹45 lakh) and Alamarathukadu (₹47.50 lakh), an anganwadi centre at the cost of ₹17.25 lakh at Thumbalpatti and a commercial complex worth ₹99 lakh in Athanur town panchayat.
