BESCOM seeks Bengaluru RWAs support to boost rooftop solar adoption

The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has requested Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) and Apartment Owners’ Associations in Bengaluru to work with the utility to promote rooftop solar installations under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. 

During a meeting, N. Shivashankar, Managing Director, BESCOM, said RWAs and apartment associations could play a crucial role in encouraging residents to adopt rooftop solar systems. He called on association representatives to cooperate with BESCOM to ensure the implementation of the scheme across Bengaluru.
