Ahead of the Swachh Survekshan 2026, the MCD is aiming to retain its Water+ certification for sanitation and improve the Garbage Free City rating from one star to at least three stars. SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT Aiming to improve its Garbage Free City (GFC) ranking, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has intensified monitoring of sanitation work across the Capital ahead of the Swachh Survekshan 2026 survey, which is expected to begin next month. According to a senior official, special emphasis is being placed on solid waste management parameters, which affect the overall cleanliness ranking.
