Minister for Roads and Buildings B.C. Janardhan Reddy on Sunday (March 8, 2026) said that the government has taken up development works to a tune of ₹12 crore in just 20 months in Koilkuntla of Banganapalle Assembly constituency. Mr. Janardhan Reddy inaugurated the newly laid CC road and drains constructed near the Sunkalamma temple in the village at a cost of ₹86 lakh and also inspected various ongoing development works. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the people of Koilkuntla gave him a huge majority in the last elections and he is living up to their expectations by developing the village. The Minister stated that works are underway for the construction of a building at a cost of ₹1.50 crore to house the mandal parishad office, the addition of rooms in the government junior college at a cost of ₹40 lakh, the installation of an RO mineral plant costing ₹9 lakh, and several other development projects. He said the TDP government during 2014 -2019 had developed Koilkuntla by taking up development works by spending ₹5 crore while the YSR Congress Party government had spent just ₹84 lakh during its five year tenure.
