Pasuvanthanai police seized illegally stored explosives used for manufacturing firecrackers in Lakkammal Devi village on Saturday. Acting on a tip off, Pasuvanthanai police carried out an inspection at the village. During the operation, they discovered that explosive materials used for manufacturing firecrackers had been illegally stored in asbestos roofed shed set up in the forested area. Following this police seized around 300 kg of explosive mixtures, 200 kg of charcoal powder and 300 kg of fuse attached explosive containers that had been stored in the shed.
