Jagan extols role women play in building a strong society

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday extended his greetings to women on the occasion of International Women’s Day, and underscored the invaluable role they play in building a strong and progressive society.

In a message on X, the former Chief Minister said the progress of families and the overall development of the State were closely linked to the economic empowerment of women. “When women are financially independent and socially empowered, families become stronger and communities prosper,” he observed.

Recalling the initiatives undertaken by the YSRCP government, he said it had laid special emphasis on women’s welfare and empowerment. He also appreciated the dedication and resilience of women who successfully balance family responsibilities, while contributing to social and economic development, besides shaping a more inclusive, equitable, and progressive society.
