This is among the 124 HWCs that will come up in the district. | Photo Credit: Special arrangement The Union Government has released ₹80 crore from the 15th Finance Commission Fund for setting up 124 Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centres (HWCs) in Dakshina Kannada, according to MP Captain Brijesh Chowta. The government has sanctioned ₹65 lakh for each HWC which will come up on 2,000 square foot area. The ground floor will have a clinic, kshema centre, a day care centre and a washroom. House of the medical officer of the HWC will be on the first floor.
