The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Delhi for borrowing ₹1,000 crore from the open market earlier this year to meet its expenses. On January 5, the Delhi government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), enabling the government, for the first time, to borrow from the open market.
