Hotels, caterers, and bulk users of LPG cylinders in Coimbatore are in a quandary as price of commercial LPG cylinders have shot up because of the war in west Asia. R. Balachandar of Coimbatore District Hoteliers Association said all oil marketing companies have said that there will be a spike in demand for LPG commercial cylinders. The prices have gone up. “We have all moved to gas-based cooking. If availability of the cylinders is cut fully, we do not know how we will manage. We may have to close down the restaurants,” he said.
