The Palm festival in progress in Tiruchendur. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT Palm Festival 2026 commenced at Vasantha Mandapam near Sri Subramanya Swamy Temple in Tiruchendur on Friday. The five day festival is being organised by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and Thoothukudi district administration to promote traditional palm-based food and other products and showcasing the palm-based livelihood opportunities. The festival was inaugurated by R. Ishwarya, additional collector (development) in the presence of S.S. Vaseeharan, general manager, NABARD, and T. Bhuvanesh Ram, assistant collector (training).
