The Sivaganga district police have arrested three persons in connection with the assaults made on four SC men on March 3. Police said that Sarveswaran (24) of V Pudukulam, Anand Ayyanar (23) and Thirumurthi (22) were arrested and remanded in judicial custody. On March 3, when Raju, a painter was standing near Idaikattur, a nine-member gang arrived at the scene and brandished knives. In the melee, Raju and his relatives Dinesh, Rajendran and Subramani were injured. The police had registered a case.
