Poll training for nodal, assistant nodal officers

Training for the nodal officers and the assistant nodal officers on their responsibilities and regulations to be followed during upcoming Assembly polls was held at the Colletorate here on Saturday.

Led by District Revenue Officer M. Durai, the officials handled the training sessions for the nodal officers and the assistant nodal officers, who will have to handle and coordinate various groups in-charge of electronic voting machines, human resources management, polling materials, monitoring model code of conduct violations, supervising sensitive and hyper sensitive booths, sending postal ballots, media monitoring, transport, cyber security etc.

The trainers trained by the Election Commission of India in Delhi and Chennai handle the sessions for training the nodal and the assistant nodal officers.
