A seven-month pregnant woman was killed and her husband was critically injured after a car rammed their two-wheeler on the Chennai-Tiruchi National Highway near Maduranthakam in Chengalpattu district. The deceased was identified as Monika (24), wife of Vasudevan (30), from Mocheri near Maduranthakam. She had visited the Government Hospital in Chengalpattu for a routine pregnancy check-up.
