KITSW students perform during the Sansktriti ’26 fest on Friday. | Photo Credit: By Arrangement The two-day cultural festival Sanskriti ’26 began with vibrance and enthusiasm at the Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, Warangal (KITSW) on Friday. Renowned music director and singer Prashanth R Vihari, an alumnus of the institute, inaugurated the cultural carnival and lauded the students’ creative skills. Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Vihari advised students to avoid distractions on social media and encouraged them to embrace new technologies and opportunities. KITSW principal K. Ashoka Reddy said Sanskriti offered students an immersive journey into cultural diversity, celebrating traditions, cuisines, lifestyles and artistic expressions. Day One of the fest features Indo Western Day, followed by Elegantica (fashion show) and a DJ performance by Pradeep. Day Two will highlight Traditional Beats and a Pro Show by popular singer E. Manisha. The fest also includes over 20 spot events such as live painting, singing, drama, photobooth activities, face painting and confessions. KITSW additional secretary and former MLA Vodithala Satish Kumar also spoke.
