The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) had erected the longest steel bowstring span in Tamil Nadu, measuring 76 metres, in one of the road overbridges constructed in the Kamalapuram-Pollachi corridor, said its Regional Officer, NHAI, K. Govindasamy.

This corridor, being constructed at a cost of ₹4,070 crore, would provide seamless fourway road between Madurai and Coimbatore.

He was addressing at the orientation programme for journalists and students of journalism organised by Press Information Bureau here on Friday.
