Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the Centre of Excellence in Nutraceuticals (COEN) at the Bio 360 Life Sciences Park on March 9. V. Sasi, Chirayinkeezhu, MLA, will preside over the function. The centre has been established by the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) with the support of the Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC), Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) and the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB). The initiative aims at strengthening research, innovation and technological development in the rapidly growing nutraceutical sector. The Centre of Excellence has commenced operations on the campus of the Institute of Advanced Virology within the Bio 360 Life Sciences Park. In addition, five acres of land has been allotted within the park to develop dedicated infrastructure for the facility.
