The Forest department has issued guidelines for the Agasthyarkoodam trekking season of 2026.

The trekking season will be held from January 14 to February 11, and the total trekking fee has been fixed at ₹3,000 per person. This includes a trekking fee of ₹2,420 and an eco-tourism and management-related fee of ₹580.

As part of the eligibility criteria, only trekkers who produce a valid medical fitness certificate issued by a registered medical practitioner will be allowed to participate. The certificate must be issued within seven days prior to the trek.

The order also outlines a phased online booking system for the trek. Registrations will be opened on the Forest department website in two stages corresponding to the trekking schedule. Bookings for treks scheduled between January 14 and 31 will open in the first week of the month, while bookings for treks from February 1 to 11 will open towards the end of the third week of January.
