BJP leader B.S. Yediyurappa said he was touring across the State to bring about the change people wish to see.

Speaking to reporters during a visit to Suttur Mutt here, Mr. Yediyurappa said he was travelling across the length and breadth of the State to respond to the aspirations of the people and to work for the change they desired.

Before Chief Minister Siddaramaiah presented the State Budget 2026-27, Mr. Yediyurappa said he wished that the Chief Minister would pay attention to the marginalised and Dalits in society so that a system could be created for them to lead a peaceful and dignified life. So far, such aspirations have not been realised, he regretted.

Mr. Yediyurappa also took exception to the “confusion” created about Prime Minister Narendra Modi with regard to his developmental works in the country, as well as the US-Israel war against Iran. Mr. Modi wants everybody to lead a peaceful life, he said.

Several BJP leaders, including former MLAs — N. Mahesh, Niranjan Kumar, L. Nagendra, and Pratap Simha, former MP, and others, accompanied Mr. Yediyurappa.
