Considering the long-time demand of the film industry, the CM has proposed to set up Cine Mitra, a single-window online digital platform to get all necessary permissions from various departments for film shooting and related activities.

Filmmakers need to take permission from different agencies to shoot their movie in tourist locations. For many years, the Kannada Film Chamber had appealed to the government to simplify the procedure by introducing a single-window facility.

The CM said that the government has decided to construct a film city in Mysuru at a cost of ₹500 crore. The city would include a theme park, star hotels, and restaurants, he said.

The CM proposed to launch a Karnataka Film Location Digital Map that contains information on tourist destinations, historical monuments, and filming spots in the State. He has earmarked ₹1 crore for the purpose.

Through the Department of Information and Public Relations, the CM wants to disseminate the message of Mahatma Gandhi by setting up Mahatma Gandhi Jan Shikshana Kendras. He has proposed to set up Gandhi Memorial Pillars at places visited by Mahatma Gandhi.

Besides that, the CM has decided to digitise photographs and video documentaries available with the department at a cost of ₹5 crore. He has proposed to develop noted filmmaker Puttanna Kanagal’s residence into a museum.
