There is no information re-garding any Executive Council (EC) resolution authorising the installation of the facial recognition technology (FRT) system at the entry gate of the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Central Library, the Jawaharlal Neh-ru University (JNU) has said in response to an RTI. The FRT was opposed by the current and former JNU Students’ Unions (JNUSUs) through protests starting in August 2025.
