MLA and Chairman of Karnataka Slum Development Board Prasad Abbayya has thanked Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and Social Welfare Minister H.C. Mahadevappa for the State government’s decision to establish a fast-track court to hear the honour killing case of Inam Veerapur in Dharwad district. In a press release here, Mr. Prasad Abbayya has said that the State government’s decision indicates that such heinous acts will not be tolerated in a civil society. He has also expressed shock over some celebrating the honour killing by posting in support of the heinous crime on social media platforms and demanded suo motu action against such people.
