Left parties hold protest, seek safe return of A.P citizens from war zones

Calling for an immediate halt to the genocide in Iran by the USA and Israel, the leaders of Left parties demanded the Central and State governments ensure the safe return of people, from Visakhapatnam and other regions of Andhra Pradesh struck in the war zones.

On Thursday, the Left parties staged a protest at Jagadamba junction, during which they displayed effigies of US President Donald Trump. they sought an end to the war and called for restoration of world peace. The protestors urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene to de-escalate tensions in West Asia, emphasising the need for India to take a leadership role and to exert diplomatic pressure on the United States of America and Israel to stop their attacks on Iran.
