Work to lay the road has already begun, with some trees cleared and construction debris dumped on the OSR land. The residents of Anjur village — located inside the Mahindra World City in Chengalpattu district — are concerned about the construction of a road on a portion of an Open Space Reservation (OSR) land meant for creating a park. The residents have complained that the portion of land — measuring one acre and 24 cents, and located between Mahindra Research Valley and Dhargas — was being converted into an access road for a private construction company.
