Members of Federation of Revenue Association staging a road roko in Thoothukudi on Thursday. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT Around 140 revenue department staff were arrested in Thoothukudi, for staging a road blockade on Thursday, as part of their protest, emphasising their demands. The protest was organised by Federation of Revenue Associations (FERA), to urge the government to fulfil the nine-point charter of demands. Among the key demands are enactment of measures to safeguard the lives and property of officials working in Revenue and Disaster Management Department and Survey Department.
